You will serve as a EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN (AUDIOVISUAL/LABORATORY/OA) in the CENTER FOR MULTIDISCIPLINARY EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES (MDL), OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF IFORMATION OFFICER of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.

Duties

You will work with professional faculty and technical staffs to schedule, train for, and produce a variety of lectures, courses, seminars, conferences, and laboratory exercises. You will be responsible for the maintenance of electronic teaching and conferencing equipment, and to train others in its proper use. You will be responsible for reporting, recording, tracking, prioritizing and resolving technical issues in the MDL facility. You will perform basic desktop maintenance and support for microcomputer/personal computer on windows and /or Apple-Macintosh platforms, troubleshooting, and software applications. You will conduct property inventory of multiple complex electronic equipment as requested and assuring accountability of MDL equipment and supplies. You will provide technical and logistical support for video teleconferencing and distance learning programs, including the establishment of telecommunication links prior to broadcasts. You will be working in a Anatomical Teaching Laboratory (ATL) and must be able to handle the psychological effects of working with human cadavers and specimens. Assists in the movement of cadavers.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing computers to display lectures or presentations for activities. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with setting up audio visual equipment to support educational programs. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-05 EDUCATIONAL SUBTITUTION:

Successful completion of 4 years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree.

OR

A combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience, where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

GS-06 EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION:

Successful completion of academic year of graduate education, where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

OR

A combination of graduate education and experience that equates to one year of experience, where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
