You will serve as a WORK LIFE PROGRAM COORDINATOR in the Employee Management Relations Office of the Human Capital Office (HCO) of NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
Duties
You will manage the Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) as the Drug Program Coordinator (DPC) for the command to include pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing.
You will manage other work-life programs such as telework, remote work, the employee assistance program, and health and wellness.
You will interpret regulations and provide recommendations on cases that may be controversial with regard to the DFWP.
You will monitor the execution of all programs within your purview for legal and regulatory compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
You will prepare and update all policies under your purview and participate in policy meetings and conferences to ensure policy decisions are consistent with strategic initiatives.
You will collaborate with other agencies to identify areas for improvement of your programs, share best practices, and make all policy changes as needed and as guidance and policies are updated.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing Work-Life programs such as Drug-Free Workplace, telework, remote work, employee assistance, and health and wellness; 2) Providing technical advice and developing policies, instructions and guidance for Work-Life programs; and 3) Preparing and presenting briefings.
