Duties
You will install, operate, configure, troubleshoot, monitor, maintain local network performance of the modeling and simulation infrastructure/enclaves.
You will design, develop and maintain the infrastructure/enclaves.
You will lead, direct, coordinate, manage, execute, and integrate modernization of the infrastructure/enclave.
You will evaluate tradeoffs between modeling and simulation IT needs and security guidance, develop security plans, and conduct information security continuous monitoring of the infrastructure/enclaves.
You will assess and recommend architectural design/changes to systems in response to business or technical requirements; manages changes to server configurations following IT management and security guidelines.
You will use tools to monitor servers, applications, and operating systems for performance and capacity management issues and recommends and implements modifications to meet resource needs.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to design the architecture for, install, configure, monitor, maintain, upgrade, document and analyze stand-alone and networked software, hardware and data storage systems in computing facilities or cloud-based applications that are used to execute modeling and simulation and sophisticated statistical tools. Examples of specialized experience includes most or all of the following: 1) Utilizing LINUX and Windows operating systems and the ability to successfully troubleshoot the installation of software; 2) Utilizing cyber security principles and application of the principles to meet information assurance accreditation standards; 3) Performing cloud-based technology management and data processing for wide use in cloud-based applications; 4) Performing write scripts and utilizing programming languages to manage files and data; and 5) Utilizing IT acquisition to meet program procurement requirements.
