About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade in Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Duties
Serve as a Training Assistant performing a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties under the general supervision of the Company Commander, Executive, or First Sergeant and alongside the training Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO).
Use Digital Training Management System (DTMS), incumbent serves as the focal point to input and monitor training, readiness statistics, and compliance with published training guidance from battalion and the Brigade.
Assist with forecasting training requirements, schedules, and coordination of unit training events.
Notify individuals and leadership of personnel at risk of being out of compliance with training requirements.
Assists the training NCO with maintaining the companies training calendars utilizing automated systems such as DTMS, Outlook, or PowerPoint.
Assist the Company Commander, Executive by reviewing requests for quotas at Department of Defense (DoD) schools, Professional Military Education courses, and Civilian Education System courses to ensure requests are submitted in proper format.
Assist in updating training records for all members of the Company in Army Training Requirements and Resources Systems (ATRRS) and gain knowledge of non-ATRRS schools and courses.
Coordinate with Battalion S-3 for all Cyber Pipeline Training regarding members of the Cyber workforce assigned to respective Companies
Receive and assist in the coordination of internal and external staff actions and projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position is designated Special-Sensitive. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a SSBI background investigation for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. A TS/SCI clearance is required.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program (AR 600-85).
- Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence-scope Polygraph (CISP) examination, as required. Failure to submit to a CISP examination when required may result in removal from Federal Service.
- Personnel assigned to work in an NSA facility must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA facilities and networks.
- Duties of this position may entail alternative work schedules (AWS) such as variable or MAXIFLEX, including extended shifts; rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and/or and Holidays as required.
- May be required to carry a cellular telephone/Portable Electronic Device (PED) and maintain a working personal telephone at all times.
- This position is classified as IT access level IT-III (General User) and Sensitivity Matrix for TS/SCI is Special sensitive, Tier 5.
- The employee is subject to extended overtime in response to surge situations.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by utilizing a digital training or learning management system to analyze training metrics; drafting training reports to brief individuals or leadership concerning the effectiveness of training programs for the development of training plans, guidelines, and/or procedures; monitoring the completion of training to ensure individuals are in compliance.
