You will serve as a Data Management Specialist (Aircraft) in the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Engineering Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will perform research of technical data sources throughout Department of Defense (DOD), Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC), and various government and commercial sources.
You will develop and present specialized training on technical data requirements, data configuration and control; and database management query procedures to government and contractor personnel.
You will perform quality audits of technical publication management processes throughout the facility and provides related training to dispersed librarians, production personnel, work center supervisors and others in control of technical data.
You will update NATEC, ELMS Library, and PEMA Management system to include: assigning work center, production shops, building number, property account numbers, and any baseline changes applicable to the work center.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Developing and presenting specialized training on technical data requirements, data configuration and control, and database management query procedures to government and contractor personnel; (2) Performing quality audits of technical publication management processes throughout the facility and providing related training to librarians, production personnel, work center supervisors and others in control of technical data; (3) Operating equipment used for storage, display, reproduction, and distribution of paper and digital data while ensuring systems are accurately maintained at all times and that all required supplies are readily available; (4) Researching customer service complaints and technical issues that are referred by subordinates and maintaining liaison with Production shops throughout the agency to provide customer support with technical publications; and (5) Conducting yearly audits to ensure continued applicability to agency processes and providing recommendations of changes to management that include established time standards, quality characteristics, and performance metrics.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
1 full year of graduate level education;
OR
Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement;
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
