About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician for the Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL). Located in Fort Leavenworth the oldest continuously active military reservation west of the Mississippi River. This historic post is noted for the campus-like setting, open green spaces and hometown character. Fort Leavenworth offers recreational programs and activities that enhance community life here on post including several restaurants, a golf course and two lakes to fish in.

Duties

Document new equipment serial numbers and quantities in the durable items management database. Maintain files and records for supply publications relating to property accountability. Transport courier on mail runs, package pickups, supply pick-ups, print runs, and equipment repairs and turn-ins. Verify all hand receipts are current with signatures less than six months old. Coordinate requests for equipment and supplies with quantities on-hand. Contact vendors and supply activities to order supplies and obtain order status information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • SECRET CLEARANCE: This position may require the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, state-issued, driver's license.
  • Must be able to type 40 wpm.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) utilizing supply systems and regulations to support organization operations and 2) using supply procedures to track items and resolve discrepancies for inventory accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
