About the Position: The incumbent of this position is responsible for managing property and conducting supply operations for the Command Group of the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Eligible for situational telework ONLY, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework".
Duties
As a Supply Technician, you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following:
Manage accountable property through sub-hand receipts.
Requisition, receive, store, inventory, transfer, turn-in and dispose of accountable and expendable property, equipment and supplies.
Prepare equipment portion of the Unit Status Report.
Coordinate shipping of required property/equipment to support exercises in other locations.
Manage all service and work order requests.
Maintains government purchase card in order to purchase equipment and supplies.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct necessary training regarding supply operations and property accountability for military and civilian employees of the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a heavy lifting requirement, and the incumbent is subject to satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical and an annual examination thereafter.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid, state-issued driver's license throughout the duration of employment.
- The incumbent of this position will be required to obtain and maintain a Government Purchase Card.
- The incumbent of this position may be required to travel for approximately 5% of duty time in a temporary duty (TDY) status.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE One year of specialized experience which includes: experience in procuring, receiving, cataloging, and accounting for equipment and materials utilizing automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
