Duties

Responsible for monitoring, receiving and coordinating deliveries of petroleum products. Conduct daily and monthly fuel inventories and compile reports to reflect inventory balances. Maintain record of all sales, fuel orders, transfers from fuel supply point, meter readings and balances on hand. Secures samples of bulk petroleum products and takes action to have fuel reclassified and distributed accordingly. Manages the Automated Fuel Supply System and the FAS (Fuels Automated System for the installation. Check seals on transport trucks and take readings of amounts in tank before and after delivery. Enter data into spreadsheet and databases, retrieve information from electronic records and create reports, technical papers, charts, and statistical tables. Drive a vehicle to various work areas, complete driver trip tickets and perform operator maintenance to the vehicle.

  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 1 investigations.
  • This position may require the incumbent to travel TDY) up to 5% of the time

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort and retrieve data to create supply reports; correcting electronic supply transaction errors and failures; and managing stock levels and preparing and submitting supply requisitions based on consumption and past usage figures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
