About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Duties
Utilizes an appropriate automated system to maintain automated property book accountability records and ensure accountability for all property book items for serviced activities.
Reviews and analyzes reports, listings, and documentation that are produced within the automated system to ensure system integrity and property accountability is maintained.
Establishes and maintains hand receipt files for designated hand receipts, check hand receipts for accuracy, signatures, and dates.
Identify, report and transfer items of property as required between hand receipt accounts or to and from other installations.
Coordinates sensitive items inventories for a broad range of items and performs research to resolve discrepancies.
Gives on-the-job training to new employees concerning data input into the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) database.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Maintaining inventory accountability for property book items; 2) Utilizing supply procedures to track items; and 3) Resolving inventory and/or supply issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
