About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
This position is open to employees currently assigned to 30th Signal Battalion only.
Duties
Serves as Chief, Personnel Support Section for the 30th Signal Battalion and Network Enterprise Center as a consultant to the Battalion Commander and staff on personnel resource programs.
Evaluates requirements imposed by higher echelon and provides the BN Commander with detailed analysis of responsibilities in such matters and recommends methods and procedures for their accomplishment.
Oversees military personnel programs, personnel records maintenance, database management, in and out processing, officer, enlisted, and civilian evaluations, military and civilian rating schemes for all BN organizations, retention management.
As Battalion Administrative Officer provides overall management and direction of the full range of military and civilian personnel operations to include strength management, personnel actions, personnel, and legal services.
Notifies management and the union on actions that affect policy, practice, or working conditions, and deals with management employee relations, Staff Judge Advocate, employees, and union representatives to resolve complaints or grievances.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
