Duties
Serve as Program Analyst and Manager of the Lightning Operations Center (LOC).
Responsible for all facets of the efficient and effective operation of the 25th Infantry Division and U.S. Army Hawaii (25ID and USARHAW) Current Operations (G33), LOC and Emergency Action Facility.
Serve as a Current Operations Battle Major and provides continuity of operations during training, exercises, contingencies, crises, and other events.
Conduct Mission Analysis (MA) and uses the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to analyze and take appropriate actions based on situation.
Ensure the ability of the Command and staffs to make quick sound decisions based on timely and accurate information.
Rapidly respond to world-wide crises and emerging contingencies that occurs under crisis conditions during and after duty hours.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
- Work schedule may require working rotating shifts.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing continuity of operations during training, exercises, contingencies, crises, and other events; conducting Mission Analysis (MA) and utilizing the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP); preparing reports and time sensitive briefings for senior level personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
