You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the NAVY PAY AND PERSONNEL SUPPORT CENTER (NPPSC) of TSC GREAT LAKES.
Duties
You will provide customer service such as disbursing support, military pay, ID card processing, service record maintenance, benefits/entitlement transactions for properly entitled and eligible personnel and passengers transportation services.
You will assist staff with questions and issues related to administrative functions.
You will operate automated computer systems to maintain and update electronic records and data.
You will compose, type, copy, and edit correspondence and reports from rough to final draft.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing administrative support administrative areas such as timekeeping, (e.g., military), leave, travel, human resources, file management, correspondence preparation and control, and office automation systems;
Submitting and monitoring human resource actions;
Assisting the supervisor on the practical and technical aspects of office administration to include personnel administration, budgeting, data processing and file management; AND
Maintaining calendar, schedules, appointments and provides notification of appointments made and/ or cancelled.

demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school (This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. This education must
demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position)
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
