You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the NTSC Staff and Activities of NSTC GREAT LAKES.
Duties
You will assist in program sponsored functions (e.g., preparation, set up, award ceremonies, and distribution of awards during and after ceremonies) to help distribute award recognition.
You will establish and monitor logs and suspense records to ensure administrative control of office is improved and operates smoothly.
You will use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat to prepare a variety of documents, correspondence, and reports in accordance with established guidelines
You will compose final form of a variety of general correspondence such as official letterhead letters, memorandums, military evaluations, military awards, personnel appraisals, appointment letters, or civilian awards in support of a supply program
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizes word processing and spreadsheet programs to prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, forms, briefing, messages, and/or reports; 2) Maintains a tickler system to track all required associated actions to include program screens, awards, travel, etc., for an office; 3) Reviews outgoing correspondence for grammar, punctuation and format; and 4) Analyzes and/or recommends improvements to office systems or processes.
