About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Administrative/ Resource Management for JRTC Operations Group, Fort Johnson, LA performing a variety of duties relating to management of administrative and resource management programs for Operations Group.
Duties
Coordinate with staff and subordinate organizations to ensure compliance with personnel functions such as budget, manpower and quality control.
Serve as the point of contact to initiate HR actions to ensure necessary documentation is prepared and submitted to G8 Manpower Division.
Assist in gathering HR data to prepare documentation requested by the G8 Manpower Division to resolve outcomes of administrative actions.
Serve as the primary official time and attendance manager for the Operations Group Staff and all subordinate organizations.
Manage all Operations Group ceremonies such as Change of Command and Change of Responsibility while following ceremonial protocol.
Serve as the Chief of Administrative and Resource functions for the Operations Group at Fort Johnson.
Responsible for ensuring all incoming correspondence and documents received for the Operations Group Command Staff are compliant with DOD and Army regulations.
Maintain pertinent employee information to keep the Chief of Staff informed on personnel matters such as retirements, resignations and vacancies.
Responsible for making administrative management decisions on personnel matters to manage sensitive issues by addressing a variety of unforeseen problems that may arise.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) of 15% of the time.
- The incumbent must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes reviewing HR data to advise on administrative policies and/or procedures for implementation, assisting management by identifying personnel needs such as resignations and/or vacancies to offer recommendations, providing staff advice in response to a wide variety of administrative procedures in order to respond to inquiries, OR coordinating official ceremonies according to the organizations protocol policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
