THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION COORDINATOR-Title 5, Position Description Number T5010000 and is part of the WI JFHQ, Wisconsin National Guard.
Duties
Performs duties as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator that requires the incumbent to analyze trends by utilizing qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure the effective implementation of the Program.
Reviews national and international resilience, risk reduction and suicide prevention initiatives, and considers applicability for WING.
Maintains organization wide suicide surveillance to establish any emergent high-risk trends and/or provide early warning when possible factors might lead to increased suicides.
Serves as the staff consultant on all aspects of the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program and training and is the focal point for analysis on a full spectrum of issues affecting Service Member accession and recruitment.
Serves as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator with the responsibility for the overall planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, standardization and promoting of a comprehensive and effective program aimed at the reduction of Service Members and civilian high-risk behaviors (e.g., domestic violence, drug and alcohol, suicide, etc.).
Participates with military and other government agencies in the definition of research requirements, the planning for research utilization, and the establishment of objectives and policies pertaining to resilience and risk reduction.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant protective risk factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing statistical reports, plans, policies, and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Use of trend analysis to recommend universal courses of action to reduce risky behavior, decrease stigma in reporting, and promoting quality of life and well-being programs. Understanding of resilience, risk reduction and suicide prevention initiatives, and identifying new behavioral risk management programs to foster coping skills and high-risk behaviors for Service Members. Experience as a focal point in preparing and delivering briefings and training to civilian and military audiences. Understanding of reporting significant and emergent warnings throughout all levels of the chain of command. Experience planning, developing, and promoting of a comprehensive and effective program aimed at the reduction of Soldier and civilian high-risk behaviors, such as suicide surveillance and suicide warning factors focused on Service Members aged 18-34. Knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures preferred but not required. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
