Duties
Serves as an expert specialist responsible for planning, development, coordination, implementation, analysis, management, monitoring and prioritization of Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Serves as functional expert on related program/project management issues and the coordination of proposals and action plans with stakeholders.
Conducts agency-wide testing, maintenance, and tracking of RPA and Identifies the need for improvement in economy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Conducts research and documents trends for purposes of reporting and providing RPA executive summaries for all levels of agency leadership.
Ensures all developments are properly aligned and in compliance with DFAS, DoD and all applicable financial management policies and procedures.
Serves as liaison with other systems or offices, which interact with RPA, to ensure that all requirements and expectations are identified and addressed.
Provides guidance and expert advice to both functional and technical RPA stakeholders, team members, specialists, analysts, and various echelons of management and other agencies.
Implements effective internal controls over RPA.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Performing expert analysis and evaluation of financial management procedures, policies, and regulations and serve as a staff expert and advisor to senior management; analyzing the most complex situations and/or conditions to identify deficiencies and provide corrective actions in financial policies, procedures, operations or systems; recommend and implement improvements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls programs across financial operations. Elicit, document, and convey functional requirements for process automations. Collaborate with end users and technical staff to design, develop, test, and deliver process automations.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
