You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the WEAPONS REPAIR DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Duties
You will plan the use of equipment, facilities, and materials to accomplish a variety of work within established refit cycles.
You will set deadlines, priorities, work sequences, and work assignments for timely accomplishment based on pre-established refit work schedules or as set by higher level supervisors or management.
You will redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work (QA rework, failures during testing or patrols, etc.) within or outside of the established refit cycle, during regular established work schedules or overtime work.
You will recommend to higher level supervisors or managers of the need to revise work schedules or manning/equipment resources if or when workload cannot be completed within the established schedule.
You will review and analyze TRIDENT Command and Control Systems (CCS) and Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (H M and E) alterations and Strategic Weapons System Special Project Alterations (SWS SPALTS) including manpower resources, and material costs.
You will investigate and determines the cause of production problems and take necessary steps to resolve or recommend corrective action to higher level supervisors if beyond span of control.
You will set performance standards, make formal appraisals of subordinate work performance, recommend performance awards, counsel subordinates on improvement of work performance and determine training needs.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
