About the Position: Serve as a Management Support Specialist for the Headquarters (HQ), Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID), Business Operations Directorate. Position is located in Quantico, VA.
Duties
Provide overall direction, coordination, and interpretation for building program requirements for security, occupational health and safety, essential control, parking, and coordinating arrangements for special events.
Respond to tenant requests for facility and property assistance; troubleshoot all building emergencies in relation to heating-ventilating-air conditioning (HVAC); electrical problems; and other facility problems.
Assist the contracting officer; develop statements of work, monitor the contractor’s performance; inspect completed work against contract requirements; and recommend progress payments, terminations, and other actions.
Implement space policy, planning, and directing an effective space management program in the building complex.
Coordinate transportation and vehicle utilization programs.
Develop, implement and evaluate the building safety program to include accident prevention, safety training and inspection of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID) areas to determine safety hazards.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assist with analyzing organizations space needs; analyzing correspondence and tasking to ensure proper internal and external routing; and interpreting policies and/or regulations to ensure compliance with organization directives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration / Organizational Management. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
GS-11 Time in Grade Requirement:Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assist with coordinating transportation services; review all incoming correspondence and prepares replies to general inquiries and routine actions; and administering practices and procedures related to space management and building operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
GS-12 Time in Grade Requirement:Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
