You will serve as a IT NETWORK SPECIALIST in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group/Digital, Information Technology, Analysis & Cyber Department/Digital Infrastructure Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, equipment installation and maintenance, and equipment deployment for networks. You will provide mentoring, guidance and a source of expertise for the DITAC information technology work force and DITAC leadership as required. You will serve as lead in strategic information technology design activities for networks. You will research emerging technologies and working with vendors or government entities to provide engineered networking solutions to address evolving needs of our networks. You will work with network operations team to support the maintenance, repair and upgrade of network equipment in an advanced capacity (switches, routers, etc.). You will provide remote support (and travel to when required) remote WD sites, particularly NAWC Pt. Mugu to perform listed tasking.

Qualifications

To Qualify for DS-05: Your resume must have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing and administering enterprise IT systems and software such as: switching/routing network devices, security stack devices, network monitoring systems, server devices, emergent networking or computing technologies, cloud based systems or any combination of the above.
