The Congressional Research Service (CRS) Congressional Programs & Communications Office (CPC) seeks a Writer-Editor to write and edit CRS communications, maintain internal websites, and provide communications support. The selectee will support the organization’s goals to foster a culture of communication and improve internal and external communications.
Duties
The Writer-Editor is responsible for performing a variety of internal and external communications duties. Major duties of the Writer-Editor position include writing and editing materials, especially the weekly staff newsletter; planning and coordinating activities related to the CRS intranet, including maintaining internal SharePoint sites; providing communications support, including serving as a liaison to CRS offices and divisions, planning and coordinating activities related to social media and media tracking; and other internal and external communications activities.
Qualifications
Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.
