You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR I in the ORDNANCE OPERATING DIVISION for the NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND (NMC) of NMCLANT DET EARLE NJ.
Duties
You will control movement of trains, railcars, trucks, and forklifts to support operations.
You will be second line supervisor of multi-skilled work groups/ Accountability Control Teams ACTs, who perform a wide range of activities.

You will use supervisory skills, maintaining personnel practices, planning for and directing a subordinate workforce, effectively coordinating work efforts with other functional areas, and interpreting complex written instructions.
You will compile and complete required reports and evaluations as well as interpret complex written technical publications in all responsible functional areas.
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- Successful completion of DON Ammunition Sentencing training for Quality Inspection certificate and requires conventional ordnance/explosive handling qualification, certification and recreation criteria and other technical training.
- Successful completion of automated information systems, inventory training and ability to obtain and maintain materials handing equipment (MHE) operator's license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an explosive hazardous material diver's license to operate motor vehicles having a gross vehicle weight of more than 28,000 pounds.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
