You will serve as a PROJECT MANAGEMENT TRAINING MANAGER in the Operations Department of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will serve as the Operations Department subject matter expert in the development and implementation of project management team qualifications, training and training plans.
You will generate and continually review and improve the qualifications, training standards and expectations for project management teams.
You will train or coordinate training to ensure the project team receives the knowledge and tools needed to successfully plan and execute shipyard availabilities.
You will conduct or supervise the accomplishment of initial qualification and continuing project management training.
You will develop, provide, and track completion of continued training requirements by individual members of project management teams.
You will be responsible for developing metrics and measures to assess the effectiveness of initial and continued project management team training, and the effectiveness in meeting Operations Department, Shipyard and NAVSEA level goals and objectives.
You will be required to have an extensive knowledge of the theory, principles, techniques, and practices of the PMBOK, BPMP, IPT4ACM, and project management.
You will be required to have knowledge of resource management and quality assurance requirements, and their relationship to Project Planning and Execution.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with the development of individuals with their project management qualifications, and project training plans pertaining to project management, focusing on disseminating lessons learned and improving the knowledge and skills of team members for the optimization of submarine and surface ship projects.
