You will serve as the Supervisory Production Resources Training Superintendent in the Training Division of the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will develop and execute training courses specific to each trade in the Shipyard. You will manage a comprehensive program of process surveillance, deficiency identification, and corrective action to ensure training effectiveness. You will coordinate with headquarters staff, ship's Commanding Officers, and other command personnel to identify training needs, develop or modify curriculum, and conduct training. You will lead the development and implementation of the Automated Training Management System (ATMS) which is used to schedule and document employee training and qualifications. You will determine goals and develop plans for accomplishment, determine training resources (financial, material, manpower, equipment and facilities) required based on analysis of production and shipyard workload and resources.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of a Training and Employee Development Program.
