You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Human Resources Office of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.
Duties
You will advise hiring managers and selecting officials on recruitment strategies for attracting the best qualified candidates for vacant positions.
You will evaluate current recruitment plans for effectiveness in attracting applicants.
You will advise senior leaders in the development of solutions to organizational recruitment problems.
You will review personnel actions in progress to ensure adherence to policy and compliance with negotiated agreements.
You will review pre-employment documents to ensure that candidates meet appointability requirements (e.g., transcripts, physical exams, security).
You will clarify the procedures employees and supervisors should follow when submitting injury or illness compensation claims.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advising and providing guidance to management, employees and prospective employees regarding recruitments AND coordinating the processing of personnel actions and reports.
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Making recommendations to management regarding recruitments AND processing personnel actions and reports.

Education
Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university in the amounts shown below meets the requirements for the position. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Education may be substituted for Specialized Experience for the GS-09 level as follows:
Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
Obtained LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
Education may be substituted for Specialized Experience for the GS-11 level as follows:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
