Job opening: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Salary: $160 950 - 209 231 per year

You will serve as a Human Resources Officer in the Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR) of OCHR SILVERDALE OPERATIONS CENTER.

Duties

You will be responsible for determining the distribution of customers and their workloads as necessary to maximize effective and expeditious accomplishments of work to meet the missions of the serviced customers. You will collaborate with Teir II counterparts when determining overall processes, procedures, and internal policies to ensure that proposed distributions further OCHR Operations' mission. You will brief higher ranking officials on the service delivery model to both reiterate Program policies and processes and implementing new and sometimes controversial policies designed to imporve service delivery. You will exercise personnel management responsibilities through multiple subordinate supervisors. You will plan and assign work, set priorities, advise employees on program goals and objectives and make decisions on work problems. You will oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution, of a program with a staff of over 200 employees.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Developing and executing long-range plans for sustainment and improvement of HR service delivery particularly related to staffing and recruitment; 2.) Determining the distribution of the staffs workload to meet the missions of the serviced customers; 3.) Collaborating with senior organizational leaders when determining overall processes, procedures, and internal policies to ensure that proposed distributions further organizations mission; 4.) Briefing higher ranking officials to reiterate HR program policies and processes; and 5.) Overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of a HR program.
