You will serve as a Security Specialist (SAP) in the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center NAVAVNWARDEVCEN. You will serve as Special Access Program Security Officer (SAPSO) and Assistant Special Access Program Control Officer (ASAPCO).
Duties
You will provide security oversight of operations within the Special Access Program Facility (SAPF).
You will ensure NAWDC SAP facilities comply with applicable SECNAV, DoD, and National-level multi-discipline security policies.
You will directly support the NAWDC Command GSSO and maintains a close and continuous relationship with the NAWDC Special Security Officer (SSO) and the NAWDC Command Security Manager (CSM).
You will review security clearance, investigation currency and status, and SF86/SF86C for issues, as directed.
You will submit personnel for SAP access subject to SAPCO direction.
You will review program access request submissions, applicable Implementing Directives, and provides adequate justification.
You will maintain and continuously updates the NAWDC billet and program justification database in support of personnel access, under the direction of the NAWDC SAPCO.
You will ensure personnel are promptly submitted for access required by their billet assignment without prejudice.
You will draft letters of compelling need for SAPCO signature.
You will, when warranted by objective facts, recommend against accessing personnel to the SAPCO.
You will provide for the accountability and control of NAWDC SAP classified material/documents and SAP material storage containers.
You will provide day-to-day supervision, training, and guidance to enlisted, government civilians and contractor personnel, when assigned.
You will provide and/or oversees provision of annual SAP security refresher training for applicable command personnel.
You will provide policy recommendations regarding SAP security.
You will facilitate actions required to enable communication of SAP issues and Fleet integrated war fighting requirements for SAP technology.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting Special Access Program (SAP) security program oversight to ensure organizational compliance with SAP regulations, policies, or procedures.
