About the Position: Manages Administrative Program. Responsible for the overall management and/or accomplishment of all general administrative and personnel functions and actions required for the support of the organization and its civilian and military personnel. Serves as the organization focal point for all administrative, personnel and finance matters. This includes providing assistance and guidance, and working to resolve and finalize pertinent actions and issues.
Duties
Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support and coordination.
Support services, guidance, and assistance in the areas of administrative office functions, internal control program, office automation/computer support, and coordination between the Division and activities.
Serves as the point of contact for the automated systems and programs.
Serves as the records manager and files custodian.
Develops and submits requests for publications, manuals, regulations, and blank forms in adequate quantity to ensure mission accomplishment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Utilize automated systems to input, query, and retrieve administrative program and/or data; 2. Provide guidance to personnel on matters pertaining to an organization's administrative functions; 3. Assist in scheduling or coordinating events for an organization; and 4. Preparing funding, procurement, or administrative documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
