Duties
You will be required to be ready and able to deploy as required in support of varied contingencies.
You will serve as a multi-functional Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command dealing with planning operations, supply maintenance, doctrine, training and administration, as well as field, and sustainment maintenance.
You will monitor support of field and sustainment level maintenance, and wholesale to retail materiel management integration missions.
You will develop reports, Common Operating Pictures (COPs) and briefings used to keep the Brigade informed of mission requirements and analysis results.
You will analyze and evaluate information gathered from multiples sources, reconciles conflicts, creates detailed summaries considering the appropriate audience, and determines validity of user requests.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a deployable DA civilian position. Incumbent must pass an initial and annual medical examination and receive/remain up to date on required immunization for overseas or deployed location.
- This position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE).
- The incumbent provides immediate and continuing support to combat operations and/or supports maintenance, repair of combat essential systems, and other logistics operations.
- The incumbent must perform duty in a combat zone after evacuation of nonessential personnel in connection with a war, a national emergency declared by Congress or the President.
- The position will not be authorized to be filled by a member subject to recall to active duty as a member of the Armed Forces due to the necessity to perform duties without interruption.
- Incumbent must sign DD Form 2365 and maintain medial, security, passport, performance, honorable conduct and overall fitness suitable for assignment to an austere and stressful combat environment.
- Position may require temporary duty (TDY) of any length including 6 months in duration or longer in CONUS or OCONUS in austere locations.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain an official passport.
- Incumbent must successfully complete on-line computer based training and residential deployment training, as applicable.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance on logistics and inventory management issues to determine necessary actions needed to plan, establish and develop overall operational logistics criteria to ensure allocation and proper use of resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
