Duties

Serve as recognized authority and senior manager leading and managing assigned professional, technical and staff personnel engaged in supporting highly complex weapon systems Brief and interact with senior military and civilian leaders to explain, advocate and express facts and ideas on logistics issues Ensure compliance with policies and procedures Develop recommended updates and implement approved solutions Represent AMCOM in meetings to support weapon systems Assist the military planners with the background information and planning rationale to support weapon systems and personnel

Requirements

  • A one-year supervisory probationary period is required, if not already completed.
  • Incumbent must complete a one-year probationary period, if not already completed.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Performance of duties require the incumbent to participate in Aerial Flight (not as a crew member).
  • Incumbent is required to be mobile for worldwide assignments as the needs of the service dictate, per AR 700-4.
  • Incumbent must be able to pass an appropriate initial physical examination, an annual, deployment physical, and agility test in accordance with AMC Regulation 700-19.
  • Incumbent must possess a valid state vehicle operator's license in CONUS. Obtain and retain a valid vehicle operator's license as required by the OCONUS Country of assignment.
  • Incumbent must be willing to sign a mobility agreement under the provisions of the agency mobility program, Logistics Assistance Program (LAP) Employment Mobility Agreement AMC Form 2884.
  • Incumbent occupies a position that is considered essential to support of DAs mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization. Position is considered emergency essential.
  • Incumbent may be on-call, work irregular hours, accompany the assigned unit during technical and training field exercises, and deploy to contingency areas in support of the command's weapon systems.
  • Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station (TDY) on multiple overnight trips up to 75% of the time.
  • Incumbent will attend, as scheduled, those technical disciplines and/or system function area training courses required to obtain and/or maintain proficiency on the assigned systems.
  • Incumbent must be able to possess and maintain a Government Credit Card.
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid official Passport.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • A Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE 450, is required initially and annually thereafter.

Without a SF50, your application WILL NOT be considered. This position is subject to the NH-04 salary control point at the GS-14, step 10 salary level. If the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the stated salary control point, the incumbent's salary control point will be set at the incumbent's existing rate.
