About the Position: This position supports the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP)/Acquisition Integration and Management Center. Serving as senior LOGCAP advisor to a Combatant Commander (COCOM), providing direction and management for development, implementation, and sustainment of LOGCAP management functions and policy issues.
Duties
Provides guidance on establishment of procedures for execution of deliberate planning cycle actions such as sourcing and validation of combat support/combat service support augmentation requirements for war plans and operations other than war.
Provides direction and management for development, implementation, and sustainment of LOGCAP management functions and policy issues.
Plans for and executes contracted support services in conjunction with the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) and Contracting Support Brigade (CSB) for forces performing missions during global contingency and non-contingency operations.
Plans and evaluates operational logistics support for Joint Services, Combined and Army Exercises conducted throughout the Combatant Commander (COCOM) and LOGCAP's area of responsibility.
Performs evaluations of actions relating to program management of the LOGCAP Army Materiel Command (AMC) Support Contract.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security clearance.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position is covered by the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
- Position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE) to support the Commands mobilization and wartime Mission during periods of increasing tension and mobilization.
- Incumbent must sign DD Form 2365 (DoD Civilian Employee Overseas EE Position Agreement).
- Employee may not be a Reserve Component member subject to recall to active duty. Employee must report military recall status to management to effect removal from the Ready Reserve or exemption from retiree call-up.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter. Incumbent must be able to lift and carry a 40 pound pack for a minimum distance of 25 feet.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- Due to strenuous nature and austere conditions of deployed assignments, incumbent must be free of any health condition that would prevent proper performance of duties or preclude operation of personnel protective equipment including:
- - donning chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear protective gear and protective masks.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectees must sign a tenure agreement to remain in the Federal Service in this position for at least 3 years.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires greater than 30% travel and may require deployment to a hostile environment for 179 days or longer.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
