Duties

Serve as a supervisor for the Plans and Strategy Branch within USARPAC ACoS G4. Provides guidance and direction on the logistics portion of the USARPAC Commander's classified OPLANs, Training and Exercise Program, Theater Campaign Support Plan/Order. Provides guidance and direction on the logistics portion of the Theater Posture Strategy, Sustainment Force Management and Total Army Analysis, and Theater Security Cooperation Program. Analyzes special, logistics force structure, staff and feasibilities studies relative to theater sustainment planning, recommended sustainment force restructuring for USARPAC military units, and transition-to-war and mobilization concepts. Develops position papers and decision tools for integration into strategic planning. Develops and presents formal briefings to senior officials at Combatant Commands, DoD Components, Military Services, Joint Staff, Defense Agencies, and OSD. Serves as technical expert on broad projects and programs with international impact. Executes planning and mission execution for exercises, experimentation, and innovation across 32 Countries within USINDOPACOM. Identifies and develops logistics support concepts, doctrine and other requirements for U.S. Army, Joint Services and Multinational applications. Serves as the Army Service Component Command's Executive Agent for the Acquisition Cross Servicing Agreements (ACSA) Program and Mutual Logistics Support Agreement Programs (MLSA). Program Manager for the ACSA Global Automated Tracking Reporting System (AGATRS).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
  • This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience planning and managing logistics/sustainment OPLANS and developing theater campaign objectives in support of applicable strategies at the Service Component and Geographic Combatant Command levels; providing direction and guidance on logistics planning for training and exercises; experience with foreign allies in planning and executing military support using the Acquisition and Cross Servicing Agreements (ACSA) and Mutual Logistics Support Agreement (MLSA) programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ComplianceLeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
