Duties
You will interpret intent of financial statutes, agency regulations, and financial management regulations to provide guidance concerning accounting and financial actions.
You will plan workload, deadlines, and standards for acceptable levels of financial, accounting, work.
You will advise financial administration employees on program goals and objectives.
You will brief senior leaders regarding financial matters (e.g. current finances, budgeting management initiatives).
You will advise senior leaders on the financial health of an organization.
You will ensure that source documentation is maintained in an organized secure manner and that responses to Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives are timely and accurate
Requirements
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Expert experience of financial management policies for DoD Financial Management Regulations or similar.
Supervisory experience to provide effective worldwide guidance, leadership and supervision to financial management analysts.
Experience of working capital fund and the many supply and financial systems or similar.
Experience with ERP or similar financial systems.
