As an Administrative Specialist with the Workforce Management Office in the Engineering Directorate, you will be responsible for advising management is multiple divisions and/or offices within the largest and complex directorate at Kennedy Space Center. This position requires working with leadership, management, and team members levels that may include directorates, divisions/offices, branches that may include other centers and/or enterprises.

Duties

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Performs in-depth analyses to develop and interpret administrative and workforce policies and procedures for assigned organizations within the directorate. Performs administrative functions of organizational requirements to secure adequate control of deadlines, progress reports, and data bases. Provides deliverable reports to Center or Enterprise leadership as required. Provides guidance and oversight for a full range of administrative and personnel activities, working and collaborating closely with directorate and division management and administrative support. Serves in a team environment and as such, collaborate with other Administrative Officers within the directorate to ensure that customer service and consistency is provided. Performs and monitors administrative management requirements and applies policies. Researches and resolves unusual problems in performing a variety of duties related to special projects involving administrative or program issues. Coordinates actions and projects completion, tracks progress toward schedules and takes corrective actions as appropriate. Provides timely communications with project and task participants, stakeholders, and management. Fosters a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11, you must have: a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: performing administrative functions in support of staff or executive management that may include personnel systems and workforce management and training coordination in accordance with organization requirements; providing recommendations regarding administrative guidelines, issues, or operations; AND gathering and analyzing information to support the development of organizational functions or process setting for an organization. OR b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field OR c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field OR d) LL.M., if related OR e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: reviewing administrative or business operations to determine compliance with organizational policies in relation to workforce management or other related processes; participating in the development and implementation of organizational records and making recommendations for administrative guidelines, issues, or operations; AND preparing and presenting data to support the development of organizational functions or process setting.
