As an Administrative Manager (Deputy Director), you will be responsible for assisting with the oversight of development, implementation, integration, and administration of Agency and Center policies and directives. This include supporting the growing number of Kennedy Space Center programs and activities in coordination with the Office of Communications (OCOMM) and Office of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (OSTEM).
Duties
Performs as a deputy director and supervises civil service professionals and performs oversight of support contactor personnel. Ensures all personnel are adequately trained and motivated.
Directs, oversees, and manages the development of the Center Engagement and Business Integration Services budgets, travel, and operating plans, including integration of all requirements, guidelines, and policies.
Interfaces with internal and external customers and makes recommendations that follow detailed analysis and consideration of program requirements in relation to budgetary requirements, policies, and methods, and sources and types of funding.
Provides written and oral communication techniques for senior-level briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Evaluates the effectiveness of the organization's contractors business management processes, policies, systems, and performance, and influences or direct changes, when necessary.
Resolves a range of administrative and/or management subject matter problems that require the application of logical thinking in order to break down the problem.
Serves as a subject matter expert when interfacing with the center communications director and center office of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics director.
Develops organizational budget and maintains travel and financial records. Prepares final administrative and/or management reports.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Anticipating changes in workload requirements and advocates for resources while providing flexible and innovative approaches to stretch limited resources, resulting in greater contributions to the organization;
Evaluating, analyzing, and integrating data/information to identify creative and workable solutions for very difficult and ambiguous problems for an organization regarding communications and/or educational projects/programs;
Developing and maintaining relationships with project/program managers, customers and a wide range of individuals across an Agency or organization.
