This position is located within the DANTES Voluntary Education Enterprise Support and Plans Division. DANTES is a Directorate of the Defense Support Services Center (DSSC) within DHRA. The purpose of this position is to develop, implement and evaluate the DANTES strategic plan, provide performance-based management to improve decision-making, measure the efficiency and effectiveness of DANTES sponsored DoD VolEd Programs, and act as a driving force for continuous process improvement.
Duties
As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST (SP&PE) at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Analyzes the strategic direction of the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) mission, operations, and organizational structure and recommends adjustments to positively impact the way DoD provides voluntary education support to service members.

Develops strategic plans, engagement strategies, annual reports, and monitors and analyzes activities to develop, inform, and support voluntary education and related voluntary professional development initiatives.
Identifies strategic communications opportunities leveraging cross-collaboration; develops strategic plans, talking points, information papers and opportunities to increase social media activities, marketing, and other related activities. Reviews DANTES education programs to include College and Career Readiness, Defense Education Partnership, Credit for Prior Learning and Voluntary Education Enterprise Support programs for content accuracy congruent with DANTES strategic initiatives, messaging, and DoD compliance with policies.
Reviews, analyzes, and updates policies, guidance, standard operating procedures, technical reports, information papers, fact sheets and special literature and other documents to determine their impact on DANTES as appropriate. Represents DANTES at meetings within the Department and with other government and non-government agencies.
Plans and carries out quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods studies or projects and directs activities of contractors; promotes relationships and collaboration with other government agencies, research institutions/organizations, non-federal entities, and other stakeholders in the transition and reintegration space.
Conducts longitudinal analysis of the interrelationships and effectiveness of DANTES programs and services and makes data-driven, detailed recommendations to improve their overall impact.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Analyzing, advising, authoring, implementing and evaluating strategic plans and the organizational impacts.
Conducting qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods studies on education or similar government service members development programs
Developing information into briefs, presentations, reports, or other forms of data visualization for presentation.
Coordinating, consolidating, tracking, and monitoring organizational tasks
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
