About the Position: Fort Gregg-Adams is in America's Heartland in Virginia, 25 miles south of Richmond and near the James and Appomattox rivers. Previously known as Fort Lee, the installation was re-designated 27-April-2023, as Fort Gregg-Adams in honor of the contributions of two Black officers who excelled in the field of Sustainment.
Duties
Develop and manage the planning, coordination and execution of an antiterrorism and force protection program.
Implement an effective vulnerability assessment and security survey program.
Review and analyze information to determine meaning and potential impact of collected intelligence and threat data.
Provide guidance on antiterrorism/force protection assessment policies to ensure program objectives are accomplished.
Perform research of regulations and program documents for the organization.
Develop, coordinate and implement policy for changing force protection condition levels.
Develops and manages the garrison Random Antiterrorism Measures Program.
Coordinates and provides interface with Federal, state, local agencies to effect viable antiterrorism capabilities.
Ability to evaluate intelligence and discern factual and significant matters in news media.
Research sources, sufficient to discuss prevention against unauthorized disclosure of classified data and the protection of critical assets and the safety of personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance and maintain access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assisting in the coordination and planning of annual antiterrorism exercises. Performing vulnerability assessments, gathering, analyzing and evaluating complex information to identify problem areas and alternative solutions. Providing guidance, policies and procedures on antiterrorism as it relates to physical security.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
