About the Position: This position is located at the 43rd AG Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Prepare arrival, departure, attachment, and other appropriate transactions on new Soldiers.
Request port call and orders for all overseas bound Soldiers
Incumbent is responsible for a variety of tasks involving accountable Common Access Card (CAC) forms
Assure close coordination with National Guard, Reserve, and Regular Army liaison personnel as well as the processing companies.
Establish Basic Pay Entry Date (BPED) and Basic Active Service Date (BASD) by computing dates from source documents.
Perform complete review of prior service records and other case documentation to ensure that they are procedurally correct
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent may be required to work overtime.
- A qualified typist is required.
- The employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or on an emergency basis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: performing progressively responsible clerical or office work pertaining to the initiation, review, and verification of personnel data for enlisted personnel entering the service; and utilizing automation/computer equipment to correct errors and maintaining required military records.

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
