About the Position: Oversees and implements a workforce development program in support of the Army Installations Strategy.
Duties
Manages the workforce development program and initiatives associated with the Strengthen Readiness and Resilience line of effort from the Army Installations Strategy.
Develops workforce development initiatives and solutions.
Advises garrison personnel on a variety of substantive procedural and policy matters pertaining to a broad range of workforce development functions.
Serves as the supervisor of up to four employees supporting the workforce development task force.
Leads the assessment, design, and implementation of Army-wide workforce development solutions which integrate employee and leader development initiatives in support of Army strategic requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Must complete a one-year supervisory probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience performing expert analysis in the development, management, assessment, and evaluation of workforce development programs sufficient to lead the administration of workforce development programs, budgetary requirements, training, and other administrative programs; AND 2) Experience advising senior leaders on workforce development initiatives supporting the installation strategy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
