You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller (N8) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Duties

You will comply, analyze, and summarize financial, and budget information related to assigned areas of a financial program. You will apply standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and financial administrative process. You will apply a wide range of standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and/or financial administrative processes. You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations You will assist in formulation of budget and estimate support plans, programs, and activities. You will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in comprehensive and detailed knowledge of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations. Experience in detailed and intensive understanding of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines within a functional area. Experience with intensive knowledge of administrative and financial management systems. Experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of budgetary problems, including the development of alternative funding methods and formulating budget estimates for significantly changed funding requirements. Experience demonstrating a high degree of analytical reasoning, with the ability to identify, analyze, and conceptualize budgetary issues while developing alternative solutions. Experience in strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
