Duties
As a/an Equal Employment Opportunity Manager, you will:
Exercise direct supervision over a Division staff of professional administrative and clerical support staff and technical supervision over complaint processing and adjudication personnel in headquarters, and field offices.
Conceive, develop, plan and implement policies, procedures and guidelines for the roost efficient management and operation of systems for investigating and adjudicating individual complaints, class complaints, and allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and intimidation by employees and applicants for employment.
Provide advice and/or consultant services to EEO Officers; Discrimination Complaint Managers, managers and supervisors on the many and broad problems concerning EEO, and provides training in complaint processing and adjudication.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Applying equal employment opportunity and diversity and inclusion laws, regulations, Executive Orders, court decisions, policies and procedures. AND;
- Conducting training regarding the interpretation and implementation of equal employment opportunity programs and other nondiscrimination laws.; AND
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines on how to handle equal employment opportunity complaints efficiently.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
