Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as leading or advising on EEO complaint investigations; evaluating or making recommendations on EEO counseling methods, procedures, or policies; and coaching, mentoring, or leading others.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, regulations, and policies.
Ability to advise on the investigation and resolution of discrimination complaints.
Knowledge of Alternative Dispute Resolution, such as mediation methods and techniques.
Skill in program management.
Ability to develop and present training programs.
Ability to work with electronic databases.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external organizations.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of staff.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
