Job opening: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT & SUSTAINMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

You will serve as a FACILITIES MANAGMENT & SUSTAINMENT (FMS) PROGRAM MANAGER for FRCS, SMARTGrid and FSC within the PULBLIC WORKS (PW) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will oversee and manage the Facility Related Control Systems and SMARTGrid programs as well as the Facility Support Control integration for the Facilities Management and Sustainment Division within the Public Works Department at NAVFAC Atlantic. You will manage the integration of FRCS and SMARTGrid technologies for the FM and S Division, developing analytical tools as necessary. You will manage the FM and S Division's involvement in FSC Scope of Work Development and relevant training to ensure proper contract execution. You will lead or participate in a multi-functional team to develop standard practices or resolve problems. You will use information management systems to inform the decision process. You will prepare technical reports, estimates, status and schedules as required to complete project and study assignments; perform in-depth statistical and simulation analysis of data to make technical and business decisions.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Public Works Management principles and practices related to budgeting, planning, financial management, and work execution; 2) Supporting facility management and sustainment programs and initiatives, delivering a wide variety of products and services; 3) Monitoring issues and performance, and providing guidance and recommending corrective actions; 4) Preparing technical reports, estimates, status and schedules as required to complete project assignments ; and 5) Using a computerized maintenance management system such as MAXIMO or the MAXIMO Mobile Technology Suite of tools on a regular basis.
