About the Position: This position reports to the US Army Tank-Automotive & Armament Command, Field Support Operations Readiness & Logistics Assistance Directorate.
Duties
Contributes in the planning, coordinating, and arrangement for Very Important Persons (VIP) and other official visitors for conferences/meetings throughout the region.
Composes and prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, records, briefing materials, and statistical and narrative material required to support the Logistics Assistance Directorate (LAD) Regional Manager (LRM) and organization missions.
Prepares budget estimates and performs other budget related duties from budget guidance received from LRM.
In conjunction with supervisor, conducts annual position reviews and reviews recommended changes in job descriptions.
Responsible for coordinating with host installation on matters pertaining to the use of the data bases and telecommunication network systems.
Establishes and continually reviews, updates, and develops complex administrative office procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work within the office and with parties and agencies outside the organization.
Performs civilian personnel liaison duties.
Maintains records concerning fund expenditures and obligations.
Serves as the mail control officer, publications officer and records management officer.
Schedules staff appointments and obtains needed reference material.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Managing personnel tasks such as; hiring actions, awards, records management, etc., in support of an organization's mission; 2.) Preparing documents such as spreadsheets, correspondence, standardized forms, letters and/or memorandums; AND 3.) Utilizing computer software programs to track and/or update data for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Human Resources Management.(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
