You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Commanding Officer, Quality and Compliance Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will perform analysis by reviewing sketches, engineering drawings and data, pertinent specifications, and available equipment to identify characteristics critical to product acceptability.
You will conduct inspections and audits of materials, products, processes, and services for conformance to specifications and requirements.
You will prepare technical reports documenting inspections, testing results, or deficiencies and recommending corrective action.
You will serve as leader of Process Improvement Teams and on other committees to effect continuous improvement in quality, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing analysis by reviewing sketches, engineering drawings and data, pertinent specifications, and available equipment to identify characteristics critical to product acceptability; 2) Conducting inspections and audits of materials, products, processes, and services for conformance to specifications and requirements; 3) Analyzing data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality or verification program; 4) Preparing technical reports documenting inspections, testing results, or deficiencies and recommending corrective action; 5)Monitoring Explosives Ordnance Certification Program and serving as a member of Explosive Safety Committee.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
