You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the Information Systems Department of NAVAIR TRAINING HUMAN CAPITAL MGMT GRP.
Duties
You will serve as the Information Systems Program Supervisor and technical subject matter expert.
You will be responsible for advising the assigned Training Air Wing, associated Squadrons, and Command Information Officers staff regarding the full scope of Information System program matters for information technology systems
You will provide technical advice to leadership, and staff related to current and projected Information Systems Technology and Program Management matters for complex Information Systems.
You will apply administrative and managerial skills, abilities, experience, and technical knowledge of Information Technology and Program Management to
integrate numerous complex functions in planning.
You will perform continuous surveillance over the operation and configuration of the Navy / Marine Corps Intranet Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Local Area Network and Wide Area Network.
You will provide direct oversight for the creation and modification of Navy/Marine Corps Intranet user accounts in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, submission of Move, Add, and Change request.
You will perform a wide range of functions that include providing expert Information Technology advice and support to the staff and direct oversight of end user devices.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Technical Support Specialist level II within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying information technology policy and planning processes to develop and maintain strategic plans (e.g. budgets, workforce planning and management plans; policy needs) for organizational compliance.
