About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQ US Army Forces Command, OG2 Readiness Division, Fort Liberty, NC 28310 .

Duties

Serves as Forces Command G-2 Readiness Officer for readiness policy, tracking, and analysis. Ensures FORSCOM G-2 leadership is apprised of critical readiness shortfalls from monthly trend analysis, and any issues that may arise that could impact the Intelligence Warfighting Functions (IWfF) priorities. Analyzes intelligence information from a variety of resources to support intelligence plans and operations for G2 and FORSCOM. Collaborates Military Intelligence (MI) integration and FM issues with Division/Branch members and FORSCOM staff elements. Provides recommendations for courses of action to the FORSCOM G-2 on FORSCOM’s Intelligence Warfighting Functions capability to support initiatives of other major Army Commands (ACOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), etc.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
