Duties
Direct staff, through subordinate supervisors, of various professional functional specialists: Material Planners, Product Specialists, and Acquisition Specialists.
Plan, organize, coordinate, and integrate all of the logistics operations assigned to the Team.
Monitor day-to-day operations, resolve problems and improve processes and procedures.
Actively motivates and participates with subordinates and peers in evaluating and refining processes to optimize relationships with the supplier community and increase productivity and shorten lead times
Work with functional specialists in other organizations to facilitate progress of logistic programs, projects, and initiatives.
Serve as the senior Materiel Planning advisor in the assigned Division and identify, implement, and communicate Materiel Planning information and process improvements throughout the assigned Division.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Integrated Supplier Team Chief, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Providing guidance on DoD/DLA/DSC policy and regulatory materiel planning requirements.
Providing materiel planning problem solving experience affecting the timely coordination and integration of logistic processes.
Assisting higher-level managers in materiel planning analysis and implementation.
Leading a multi-functional team to accomplish metrics and goals provided by higher authority.
Providing guidance/policy on material planning related matters in support of supply chain management.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
