This position is located in the Civil Division, within one of its four operating branches, at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, providing management, oversight, and/or quality review of courtroom operations and employee work, in compliance with applicable Court rules; Court and division policies; Court business processes; and division standard operating procedures.
Duties
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: As the Courtroom Operations Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing the following major duties:

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:A high school diploma; seven (7) years of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience; and, one (1) year of supervisory experience, or successful completion of the Courts’ Management Training Program. Education may be substituted for years of experience.Education Substitution:An associate's degree and at least five (5) years of clerical or administrative experience and one (1) year as a supervisor or successful completion of the Court's management training program. A bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of clerical or administrative experience and one (1) year as a supervisor or successful completion of the Court's management training program. The preferred candidate has a bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, public administration, human resources administration, or a closely related field; two (2) or more years of supervisory experience; and two (2) or more years of experience in courtroom operations. Position Change During Probationary Period. A probationary employee who is transferred, demoted, reassigned, or promoted to another position before completing probation shall be required to complete the remaining portion of the probationary period in the new position. A probationary employee is eligible for promotion or lateral transfer to posted position vacancies within their current division at any time. However, a probationary employee must serve six (6) months in their current position before they are eligible for promotion or lateral transfer to posted position vacancies outside of their current division.
