Duties
This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Assistant Director- Field Operations, Field Management Staff (FMS), located in Washington, District of Columbia.
This position serves as the Deputy Chief, Field Management Staff (FMS), Office of Field Operations (FO), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) and functions as senior advisor and consultant to the Division Chief, Deputy Assistant Directors (DADs) and Assistant Director (AD) on substantive management issues influencing the Bureau and its relationship with other agencies government entities. The incumbent is responsible for strategically coordinating the budget, contracts and forms, administration and risk management; and, providing input into these areas for future planning.

To qualify for a GS-15, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized Experience is:
Leading and/or supervising analytical duties of assigned financial areas; AND
Formulating financial policies, practices, and/or procedures to manage overall financial management; AND
Managing projects and programs relating to cost analysis and fiscal planning; AND
Communicating orally and in writing.
