You will serve as a DEPUTY OPERATIONS OFFICER at the School of Infantry-East, TRAINING COMMAND, TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND (TECOM). of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will facilitate the integration and synchronization of staff efforts in support of Service individual training requirements and the Commanding Officer’s initiatives. You will participate in operational planning and program development to meet present and future mission requirements. You will develop performance standards and job objectives; conduct mid-year reviews; and perform annual evaluation rating for assigned employees and review evaluations made by subordinate supervisors. You will approve and resources the training needs of Section personnel and ensures personnel are prepared and equipped for their assigned duties. You will review strategic plans and proposes changes that will ensure objectives are met.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
